Why commission pricing?

Our standard fee is aligned with successful transactions

Lower barrier to start

No standard upfront listing fee lowers the barrier for businesses and initiatives to establish a structured digital sales or action page.

Aligned incentives

Epic Africa earns its standard platform commission when a customer successfully completes a paid transaction through the platform.

Easy to understand

A percentage-based standard fee is easy to forecast, while separately agreed arrangements allow the model to fit different sectors and use cases.

Pricing FAQs

What partners usually ask

When is the 18% commission charged?

The standard commission applies when a transaction is successfully paid through Epic Africa. It is calculated from the transaction value rather than charged as an upfront listing fee.

Do I pay to create or list an item?

The standard marketplace model has no upfront listing fee. You can onboard eligible products, services and experiences and the marketplace commission applies when you successfully sell.

Can I set my own selling price?

Yes. Partners set their customer-facing prices, subject to Epic Africa listing requirements and any applicable laws, taxes or commercial terms.

Can special commercial arrangements use a different rate?

Yes. Enterprise, agency, campaign, strategic, humanitarian and other specially negotiated arrangements may have separate written commercial terms. Selected conservation, environmental, community and other close-to-heart initiatives may also qualify for discounted or, where approved, zero platform fees.

Can customers pay in installments?

Eligible offerings can support deposits and installment payments, helping customers commit without having to fund the full amount at once. The applicable platform fee follows the commercial terms for that offering.
