How payments are processed
Epic Africa uses secure payment infrastructure provided through accredited global financial partners. Depending on the transaction and market, supported methods may include mobile money, cards and bank-based payments. Available methods and currencies are shown during checkout.
Is my payment secure?
Payment credentials are handled through secure financial infrastructure over encrypted connections. Epic Africa does not need to store your full card number or online-banking credentials to manage your order. We retain the transaction records needed to confirm, reconcile and support eligible refunds.
Deposits and installment plans
Eligible offers can allow a customer to begin with a deposit and continue paying toward the total over time. This can make holidays, events, education-related activities, professional services and other higher-value purchases accessible without requiring the entire amount upfront.
Any installment schedule, deadline and completion requirements are shown on the relevant offer. A booking or entitlement may remain incomplete until the required amount has been paid.
Fundraising and contributions
Epic Africa can also provide structured digital pages for fundraisers and contribution campaigns. Contributors may select available contribution amounts and use the same secure payment environment. Campaigns may be public or shared privately with a defined community.
Conservation and close-to-heart initiatives
Selected conservation, environmental, humanitarian, community and other close-to-heart initiatives may qualify for discounted platform fees or, where specifically approved, zero platform fees. These arrangements are considered case by case so Epic Africa can support public-good action while maintaining a sustainable platform.
Free transactions
Some activities, registrations or tickets may have a zero price. Where no payment is required, Epic Africa can complete the transaction without sending the customer through a paid checkout journey.
Currency and bank charges
Prices may be offered in different currencies. Your bank, card issuer or mobile-money provider may apply conversion or service charges outside Epic Africa's control.
Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on the applicable seller or organiser policy and the status of the transaction. Approved refunds are returned through the appropriate payment route, subject to processing timelines of the relevant financial institution.
